STATEMENT FROM COUNCILMEMBER FELDER ON RECENT WARD 7 SHOOTINGS

“I am deeply saddened to learn that another young Ward 7 resident lost their life following yesterday’s shooting on Nannie Helen Burroughs Avenue. This marks the third death in just two weeks—an unacceptable and painful reality for our community that demands our urgent attention.

My heart is with the family and loved ones affected. This type of violence has no place in Ward 7, and it will not be tolerated. We must continue working together to address the root causes of violence, strengthen prevention efforts, and ensure accountability. I remain committed to working with our law enforcement partners to hold those responsible accountable to the fullest extent of the law, while ensuring every resident feels safe.”
