March 6 2026 Newsletter
Dear Neighbors,
Budget season is upon us, and it was great to see so many of you at last week’s Ward 7 Budget Town Hall. Your voices are the driving force behind the work we do every day, and I want to thank you for continuing to share your feedback, your ideas, and your passion for our community.
I am working to ensure that Ward 7’s needs are front and center during the Fiscal Year 2027 budgeting process, and my budget proposals will be rooted in the voices of Ward 7 residents—through community listening sessions such as this one, conversations with business and industry leaders, and the dedicated input of local organizations.
We heard your priorities across Behavioral Health, Business and Economic Development, City Services, Education, the Environment, Healthcare, Housing and Homelessness Assistance, Human Services, Public Safety, Senior Services, Workforce Development, and Youth Affairs.
You told us what is working for you across all these areas — and what is not working — and now my team will use that information to advocate for the resources and programs that matter most to our community.
Through this budget and through continued partnership, we will build a Ward 7 that is safer, stronger, healthier, more equitable, and full of opportunity for every single resident.
The budget hearing schedule will be out soon, and I encourage everyone to register to testify at the public hearings. Check out our guide on registering to testify here.
Thank you for being part of Ward 7’s bright future.
