Dear Ward 7 Neighbors,
The first day of school is almost here! This week, students across Ward 7 and the District will head back to the classroom for the start of a new school year. As we welcome students, families, educators, and school staff back, we are excited about the year ahead and all of the opportunities it will bring.
As families prepare for the first day, there are a number of resources available to help make the transition into the new school year as smooth as possible.

- For families looking for activities after the school day ends, the District’s MOST-DC portal is a great resource for finding and registering for after-school and out-of-school-time programs.
- For information around tutoring and mentoring programs, please visit OSSE’s website.
Whether your child is entering Pre-K for the first time, starting middle school, heading into high school, or preparing for graduation, I look forward to supporting our Ward 7 students and families throughout the year.
