FY 2026 BUDGET SEASON IS UNDERWAY!

Dear Neighbors,

Mayor Bowser has officially released the proposed Fiscal Year 2026 Budget for the District of Columbia. This kicks off an important season of review, debate, and public input as the DC Council carefully examines the Mayor’s proposal.

Over the next several weeks, Council committees will hold public hearings to review agency budgets, hear directly from residents, and make critical decisions on how to allocate resources for the year ahead.

I remain committed to fighting for a budget that reflects Ward 7’s priorities — including investments in housing, education, public safety, infrastructure, youth programs, and economic development.

I encourage all Ward 7 residents to stay engaged throughout this process. Your voices matter and help ensure the final budget reflects the needs of our community.

For more information on how to testify or attend budget hearings, visit: DC Council Budget Hearings Schedule. #Ward7Strong #DCBudget #YourVoiceMatters

Together, we can help shape a budget that works for the people. Check out our early wins below.
