December 12, 2025 Newsletter

Dear Neighbors,

I can’t believe it’s already December! This holiday season, I am reflecting on my first year as your Ward 7 Councilmember and how grateful I am to be able to

serve this community. We’ve accomplished so much in this short period of time, and I can’t wait to continue this work in the new year.

Last week, we finally got to cut the ribbon on the new and improved Fort Dupont Ice Arena. This investment expands opportunities for youth development, athletics, and neighborhood engagement, and builds on nearly $38 million in recreation improvements across Ward 7, including upgrades to Fort Davis, the new Hillcrest Aquatic Center, Rosedale Pool, and the new River Terrace recreation center. And with this new world-class ice arena, we have the opportunity to build on the foundation for a stronger Ward 7, as we create the next generation of athletes, leaders, and changemakers.

Over the next few weeks, I’m looking forward to many opportunities to celebrate with Ward 7, including our grand opening of the Ward 7 office on Minnesota Avenue, our Holiday Giveaway at MHCDO, and our Ward 7 Holiday Party at the Strand!
